How to fix PHP syntax errors? Complete guide to parse/syntax errors
Hello everyone! I'm a beginner in PHP and constantly run into syntax errors. They appear in the most unexpected places, and I don't understand how to read and fix them. Here's an example of code that causes an error:\n\n```php\n 25,\n "Maria" => 30,\n "Petr" => 35\n);\n\nforeach ($users as $name => $age) {\n echo "User: $name, age: $age";\n if $age > 30 {\n echo " - Older than 30";\n }\n}\n```\n\nIt gives: `Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '$age' (T_VARIABLE) in /home/user/test.php on line 8`. I understand that the error is on line 8, but why? It seems logical: I'm checking the age and outputting a message. Please advise how to properly read such errors and what I'm doing wrong? I also often encounter errors with missing semicolons, brackets
