Where is the php.ini file located and how to find it on Linux?

Hello everyone! I'm a beginner PHP developer who switched to Linux (Ubuntu) and ran into a problem. I need to change some PHP settings, for example, increase the maximum upload file size. On Windows, I would just go into the PHP folder and edit php.ini, but here I'm completely confused.\n\nI installed PHP via apt:\n```bash\nsudo apt install php\n```\n\nNow I'm trying to find php.ini, but it's not in /etc/php/ or /usr/lib/php/. The `locate php.ini` command returns nothing. I've heard there might be multiple php.ini files for different PHP versions or for CLI and Apache. How do I know which one to edit? Or maybe the file isn't created at all during installation?\n\nI tried creating my own php.ini in the project root, but it didn't work — the changes aren't applied.
