How to add a local JAR file to a Maven project (manual installation)

Hello everyone! I'm new to Java and Maven, and I have a problem. I have a third-party library in the form of a JAR file (e.g., `my-custom-lib.jar`) that is not published in the central Maven repository. I downloaded it from the developer's website and placed it in the `lib` folder inside my project. How do I correctly specify in `pom.xml` for Maven to use this local JAR during the build? I tried to specify the dependency, but Maven still tries to download it from the internet and gives an error that it cannot find the artifact. Here is my current `pom.xml` (the dependencies section): ```xml com.example my-custom-lib 1.0.0 ``` But I didn't specify where the JAR is located.
