How to round a number to a specified number of decimal places in Java?
Hello everyone! I'm a beginner in Java, and I've encountered a problem with rounding numbers. I need the result of calculations to always be displayed with two decimal places, like in a calculator. For example, when I divide 10 by 3, I get 3.3333333333333335, but I want to see 3.33. Or when I multiply 2.345 by 100, I get 234.5, but I need 234.50.\n\nI tried using `Math.round()`, but it rounds to an integer. I tried something like `Math.round(number * 100) / 100`, but it only works for integers; if the number is negative or large, artifacts appear. I've also heard about `DecimalFormat`, but I don't understand how to configure it correctly. Can you suggest the most reliable way to round a number to N decimal places in Java? Preferably with examples so I can copy the code right away.\n\nExamples:
