How to create a generic array in Java? Solution to the problem
Hello everyone! I recently started learning Java and encountered a problem when working with generics. I need to create an array of elements of a generic type, but the compiler gives an error.
Here is my code:
```java
public class MyContainer {
private T[] array;
public MyContainer(int size) {
array = new T[size]; // Compilation error: "Type parameter 'T' cannot be instantiated directly"
}
}
```
I understand that Java does not allow directly creating arrays of generic types due to type erasure. But how do I correctly implement such a structure? I need to store elements in an array and be able to access them by index. I tried using `new Object[size]` with a cast, but this causes an "unchecked cast" warning.
Please advise, how
