How to get child elements of the current element $(this) in jQuery?

Hi everyone! I just started learning jQuery and ran into a problem. I have a task list, and I want that when clicking on a list item (for example, a task), some actions are performed with its child elements. For example, inside each task there is a "Delete" button and a checkbox. I use $(this) inside the click handler to refer to the current element that was clicked. But how do I access specifically its child elements? I tried writing something like: ```javascript $('li').on('click', function() { $(this).children(); // This doesn't work as I expect }); ``` But this just returns a jQuery object, not the elements themselves. I need, for example, to change the text inside a child span or hide a button. Tell me how to properly get the child elements.
