Redirecting terminal output to a variable

📁 Advanced Python Topics, question, example

Help me figure out redirecting cmd output to a variable, because only the exit_code of the process is assigned to the variable. For clarity, here are a couple of examples: Example

import sys, os command = ""tasklist""result1 = os.system(command)print(result1) # output will be 0

Example 2

command = ""tasklist>temp.txt""result2 = os.system(command)print(result2) # output will be 0with open('temp.txt', 'r') as f:    resu
