Why does the script hang up from Visual Studio Code freezing?

I start a script for debugging from vsc.



It contains a large loop for many hours of work. Sometimes the task completes fully, sometimes it stops at an arbitrary place without a crash. All exceptions are caught and passed through PASS so that the script runs to the end even if there are some problems in individual iterations of the loop. How to understand why it stops? How to restart it if a stop has occurred?
