How to remove all spaces from a line in Python?

I googled the function strip() , but it removes only the first and last space, but I need everything. For example, if a = 'sd dfsdf dfsfs' , then you need to get a = 'sddfsdfdfsfs' . Is there such a function or should it be done through a loop somehow?
