How to mark a property or method as deprecated in TypeScript?

Hi everyone! I'm new to TypeScript and working on a library for internal use. I have several old functions and properties that I want to gradually phase out to migrate to a new API. I know that JSDoc has a `@deprecated` tag that highlights the method in code editors, but in TypeScript I'm not sure how to do this correctly. Here's an example of my code: ```typescript // Old method I want to mark as deprecated function calculateTotal(items: number[]): number { return items.reduce((sum, item) => sum + item, 0); } // New method function calculateSum(items: number[]): number { // New logic with additional checks if (items.length === 0) { return 0; } return items.reduce((sum, item) => sum + item, 0); } ```
