Python interaction with cmd.exe

It is necessary to call the Windows command line, send a command (for example ipconfig). Then, save the result in NOTEPAD.

I tried through Pywinauto/Subprocess. I could not get further than the CMD screen output.

How can I implement this, or in which direction should I look?
