When should you use escape instead of encodeURI / encodeURIComponent in JavaScript?
Hello! I recently started learning JavaScript and encountered confusion when working with URL encoding. In different code examples, I see three functions: `escape()`, `encodeURI()`, and `encodeURIComponent()`. They all seem to do the same thing — replace special characters with their percent-encoded representation — but I don't understand when to use which.
For example, I'm writing a small script to send data to a server via a GET request. I need to pass parameters in the URL, including Cyrillic characters, spaces, and punctuation marks. If I use `escape()`, I get something like `%u041F%u0440%u0438%D0%B2%D0%B5%D1%82`, but if I use `encodeURIComponent()`, I get `%D0%9F%D1%80%D0%B8%D0%B2%D0%B5%D1%82`. Which option is correct?
Also, I've heard that `escape()` is deprecated, but it's still used in older projects. When exactly should
