Error "Could not open input file: artisan" when running Artisan in Laravel

Hello everyone! I just started learning Laravel 4 and immediately ran into a problem. I installed Laravel via Composer, everything went successfully. But when I try to run Artisan from the command line to create a controller or run a migration, I get this error: ``` Could not open input file: artisan ``` I am in the root folder of the project, where the `app`, `vendor`, `public` folders and the `artisan` file are located. Here's what I enter: ```bash cd /var/www/myproject php artisan list ``` In response, I get this error. I tried specifying the full path: ```bash php /var/www/myproject/artisan list ``` Then the error changes to: `Could not open input file: /var/www/myproject/artisan`. Is this related to PHP not seeing the file? The permissions on the `artisan` file are set to `644`. I checked — PHP is installed and working.
