tsconfig.json Error: Build: No inputs were found in config file — how to fix?
Hi everyone! I'm new to TypeScript and using Visual Studio 2015 with ASP.NET Core. I created a project, added a `tsconfig.json` file to the root, but when compiling I get an error:
> Build: No inputs were found in config file. Specify 'include' or 'files' property, or remove 'rootDir' to allow all files in the 'src' folder to be used.
Here is my `tsconfig.json`:
```json
{
"compilerOptions": {
"target": "es5",
"module": "commonjs",
"rootDir": "src",
"outDir": "dist",
"strict": true
}
}
```
In the `src` folder I have a file `app.ts`:
```typescript
function greet(name: string): string {
return `Hello, ${name}!`;
}
console.log(greet("World"));
```
But TypeScript does not see this file. I tried restarting the studio, deleting and recreating `tsconfig.json` — it doesn't help. Tell me, what am I doing wrong? Why doesn't the compiler find input files even though they are in the `src` folder? Thanks in advance!
