How to convert a string to boolean value (true/false) in JavaScript?
Hello everyone! I just started learning JavaScript and encountered this problem. I have a string that comes from a form on the website. For example, it could be the value "true" or "false", but it's always in string form. I need to convert this string into an actual boolean value to use it in conditions.
Here's an example of my code:
```javascript
let isActive = "true"; // This is a string, not a boolean value
if (isActive) {
console.log("Active");
} else {
console.log("Not active");
}
```
The problem is that in this case it always outputs "Active", even if the string equals "false". I understand that any non-empty string in JavaScript is considered truthy, so the if condition always triggers. But I need the string "false" to become false, and "true" to become tr
