What is unwrap() in Rust and what is it used for? Explain with examples

Hello everyone! I just started learning Rust after Python and came across a strange construct — the unwrap() method. In various code examples I see something like: ```rust let x = some_result.unwrap(); ``` I understand that this is related to error handling, but I don't fully understand the mechanism. In Python we're used to try/except, but here the logic is different. What confuses me especially is when I see unwrap() after calling functions that return Result or Option. For example, when reading a file or parsing a number from a string: ```rust let number: i32 = "42".parse().unwrap(); let content = std::fs::read_to_string("file.txt").unwrap(); ``` What will happen if the file doesn't exist or the string is not a number? I've heard that unwrap can cause a panic — is that like an exception? Or is it something different?
