tsconfig.json error: "Build:No inputs were found in config file" in TypeScript and ASP.NET Core

Hello! I'm new to TypeScript and trying to set up a project on ASP.NET Core with Visual Studio 2015. I have a tsconfig.json in the project root, but when I try to build the solution, I get this error: "Build:No inputs were found in config file. Specified 'include' paths were '["**/*"]' and 'exclude' paths were '["node_modules","bower_components","jspm_packages"]'." Here is my tsconfig.json: ```json { "compilerOptions": { "target": "es5", "module": "commonjs", "sourceMap": true, "outDir": "./wwwroot/js" }, "include": [ "**/*" ], "exclude": [ "node_modules", "bower_components" ] } ``` I have a Scripts folder with .ts files, but they are not being found for some reason. The project also has a wwwroot folder where I want to save the compiled .js files.
