Bytes - tradução de string

  data = "Hello".encode("UTF-8") # tradução de bytes   

Não consigo entender bytes... Por mais que tente, python me retorna b'hello' Linhas?

Se você tentar com cirílico, então tudo funciona:

  data = "Привет".encode("UTF-8") # b'\xd0\x9f\xd1\x80\xd0\xb8\xd0\xb2\xd0\xb5\xd1\x82'   

Ou não tenho ideia sobre bytes? Por favor, explique
